  1. What are Internet cookies? are short pieces of data used by web servers to help identify web users.

  2. What are packets? Packets are parts of a site or web page or even an e-mail that is broken down in bytes. Each packet carries the information that helps get to the destination.

  3. What route do packets take over the Internet? Packets are sent by the best available route. It's first loaded across various pieces of equipment on a millisecond-by-millisecond basis, then if there is a problem with one piece of equipment in the network while a message is being transferred, packets can be routed around the problem, ensuring the delivery of the entire message.

  4. What is a 404 error on the web? It's a link to a missing page.
